Welcome to NovaInfosec.com! Founded in January of 2008 on a Saturday evening after a long day at ShmooCon, NovaInfosec.com is dedicated to the community of Northern Virginia-, Washington, DC-, and southern Maryland-based security professionals and whitehat hackers involved in the federal government and other regulated verticals like critical infrastructure, financial, and healthcare.

We offer distinctive news commentary to keep you informed, a calendar of local events to promote networking with peers, and resources relevant to starting and growing your security knowledge and career. We are passionate about capturing and enhancing the DC area information security community and our mission is to help you get the best out of it.
