TeamViewer Recommended after LogMeIn Pulls Free Option

Logmein-V2We have mentioned LogMeIn before as our pick for one of the best remote support applications for helping family and friends dealing with computer problems. The big pluses were ease-of-use and free for home use. Unfortunately, LogMeIn has decided to pull the plug on their free option. If you are still interested in using the service, get ready to pony up to their lowest tier of service. Else try the next best thing, TeamViewer. Unlike my original thoughts, it actually does support unassisted remote management. I won’t go into the exact setup steps but here is a 12-minute video from YouTube to get you started.
