Just a little reblog action here to get the word out… For the second year in a row the NoVA Hackers Association (aka, NoVA Hackers) will be holding their ShmooCon Epilogue conference the Monday following ShmooCon. Hopefully, it’s not too late to extend those travel plans! With a little bit of effort … we can sorta make ShmooCon last a little longer…
Anyway, the NoVA Hackers have just announced the CFP as you can see below. If you are interested in submitting but don’t know @carnal0wnage, @mubix, or any other NoVA Hackers, just use our Contact Us form and we’ll forward the information along.
“ShmooCon Epilogue 2013 CFP”
Thats right, we are crazy enough to be hosting ShmooCon Epilogue once again this year. So without further ado, here are the details on the CFP:
Deadline: January 5th 2013
CFP Acceptance Notice: January 12th 2013 (since we have such an open process no rejection notices will be sent. sorry)
- Speaker(s) Name(s) / Handle(s)
- Talk Title
- Talk Duration (15, 30, 60 minutes)
- Talk Abstract
We have 13 1-hour slots but if we get a few 15s or 30s we’ll work it out if the talks are accepted.
ShmooCon speakers: We welcome those who were accepted to also submit to Epilogue, but bare in mind that preference will be given to those who weren’t or didn’t submit (to shmoo).
The voting process is very transparent all NoVA Hackers get votes and they add their handle/name to your talk in the shared Google Doc.
NoVA Hackers: To add someone to the CFP you need to add them and their information to the google doc.
Event details and any updates are available on our Google+ event.
Look forward to seeing everyone there. Ticket information will come out shortly but we don’t foresee a shortage.
