Well … maybe not so new at this point … but just wanted to put out a quick post about a continuing sponsor as well as some updates on our recently added Supporters page. First for the new sponsor… If you haven’t already noticed them the Milton Security Group has been sponsoring us the past two months. They specialize in enabling organizations to go the whole BYOD route. Their products “enable granular control over all devices on your network.” So if that’s your thing and you need their type of products, head on over to their site and check them out!
Next up is our new Supporters page… Of course Milton was the first company we placed there however for organizations looking to get in front of NoVA, DC, and MD information security professionals, you’ll probably notice we still have the Silver and Browse sponsorship levels open. Not only do you get listed on the Supporters page but also in strategic locations on the entire website as shown on our Sponsor Us page. Contact us and we can get the discussions going…
Finally, you’ll notice that on our Supporters page we’ve also listed a number of continuing monthly or yearly member contributors. It’s not much but we just wanted to somehow thank the people that have been actively supporting us over the past few months and years as we’ve been trying to develop the site more. If you’re interested in becoming a member, we have 50 individual supporter spots open. It’s no big deal … just $2 a month (or one Starbucks coffee) or $20 a year to keep our ops going and hopefully to expand some. On the supporters page you can opt to include the following:
- Your picture or avatar
- Your name
- A short bio
- Link to one of your social media properties
- (optional) Link to your blog or personal site you want to promote ($3 extra/mo or $30/year)
We’re working towards some member-only benefits that we hope to introduce in the near future. Is there’s something you’d like to see as a member-only benefit? Just let us know! Finally if you would like to sign up as a member supporter, head on over to our Help Us Help You page and select one of the PayPal options.
